Values

Our core values center on four things:

Jesus.

He is renewing every part of this world and has offered life to those who are dead; freedom for the prisoner; sight for the blind; and healing for the sick. A world weary of conflict and despair is invited to the way of Jesus: full of life, hope and light.

Relationships.

We celebrate each person as invaluable and irreplaceable because that’s how God sees us.

Just like Jesus, we love people when they don’t deserve it or expect it. God has put inside every person something so beautiful and unique that the world is incomplete without it being discovered, developed and celebrated.

Reconciliation.

Our church has had the privilege of watching Jesus Christ heal people’s relationship with God, with their families, with their neighbors, and even their enemies.

God has called us to make peace in this world until Christ’s church looks like Revelation 7 where every tribe, tongue & nation is gathered. God will directly bless our church based on how our diversity reflects that.

Generosity.

We feel blessed to know the mercy and grace God has bestowed upon us. As Christians, part of our mission is to pay that grace forward. We look for meaningful ways to give back to the community by collectively donating our time, money, and resources. We look forward to spending the rest of our lives finding ways to support our neighbors at both a local and global level.

We would be remiss to not address the pain many people have experienced at the hands of the church.

If that’s true for you, we want you to know that we understand. Many of us have first-hand experiences with it ourselves. At Four Rivers, we are trying to do things differently. We know we won’t be perfect, but we are committed to spending the rest of our lives growing in curiosity, asking questions, listening, apologizing when we are wrong, and doing our best to love others the way that Jesus loves us.
